Terms of Service
The short version
- The trial is 14 days, every Agency feature is on, and it needs no card. Nothing is charged when it ends.
- Paid plans are monthly. Cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the period you’ve paid for runs out.
- Your data and your clients’ data belong to you. We hold it to run the service, and we don’t sell it.
- AI features can be wrong. Read what they produce before it reaches a client.
- SSH Workspace runs real commands on servers you connect. Treat it as you’d treat a terminal.

1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and AlmaSEO LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States (“AlmaSEO”, “we”, “us”). They cover the AlmaSEO application at app.almaseo.com, this website, and anything else we operate that links to this page.
By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you’re accepting on behalf of a company, you’re confirming you have the authority to bind it, and “you” means that company.
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.
2. What AlmaSEO is
AlmaSEO is a subscription tool for people who do SEO work — auditing sites, tracking search and AI visibility, diagnosing traffic loss, producing content, reporting to clients, and tracking the hours behind it. What’s included depends on your plan; the current breakdown lives on the pricing page.
We change the product regularly. Features get added, improved, and occasionally removed. If we remove something you rely on and there’s no comparable replacement, you can cancel under section 5 and we’ll refund any period you’ve paid for and not yet used.
3. Your account
You’re responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by people you invite to it. Keep your password to yourself, use a strong one, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has got in.
Plans include a set number of seats and sites. A seat is for one named person — sharing a single login between several people instead of buying seats is a breach of these terms.
Give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep your email address current. It’s how we reach you about your account.
4. The free trial
New accounts get 14 days free, with every Agency feature switched on.
The trial requires no payment card, and nothing is charged when it ends. There’s no automatic conversion to a paid plan and no invoice waiting for you. When the 14 days are up, your workspace stays readable — you keep access to what’s in it — and you choose a plan if you want to carry on working in it.
Trials are one per customer. We may end a trial early if it’s being used to abuse the service, and we may decline to offer one.
5. Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Current prices are on the pricing page; we deliberately don’t restate them here so that a price change can’t leave this page wrong.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us — AlmaSEO never receives or stores a card number.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Your plan then runs to the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and doesn’t renew. We don’t refund part-months, because you keep the service for the whole period you paid for.
Price changes. If we change the price of your plan we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you. Carrying on after that date is acceptance; cancelling before it means you never pay the new price.
Failed payments. If a payment fails we’ll retry and email you. If it stays unpaid we may suspend the account. We won’t delete your data because of a failed payment without telling you first — see section 14.
Tax. Prices exclude any sales tax, VAT or equivalent, which is added where we’re required to collect it.
6. Data Credits
Some features buy data from outside suppliers — live search results, keyword volumes, backlink profiles, AI visibility checks. Those run on Data Credits rather than being locked to a plan tier.
The credit cost of an action is shown before you run it, and your balance is shown alongside. Credits are spent when a lookup succeeds. They aren’t money, can’t be exchanged for money, and aren’t refundable once spent.
Where we cache a result, re-running the same lookup within the cache window doesn’t spend credits again.
7. Your data and your clients’ data
You own your content. The sites you add, the work you log, the content you write, the reports you produce and the data you connect all remain yours. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us permission to store, process and transmit it strictly as needed to run the service for you — including sending the parts required to the third parties in section 11.
Your clients’ data. AlmaSEO is built for people who work on other people’s websites, so much of what you put into it belongs to somebody else: their Search Console data, their business details, their contact addresses, their server access. You confirm you have the right to give us that information and to let us process it on your behalf, and that doing so doesn’t breach any agreement you have with them.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use the contents of your workspace to train AI models. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t use AlmaSEO to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- access a website, server or account you aren’t authorised to access;
- publish content that’s defamatory, infringing, or produced to deceive search engines about who or what is behind it;
- send unsolicited bulk email;
- work around plan limits, seat counts, credit metering or feature gating;
- resell, sublicense or white-label access to the application itself. Producing white-labelled reports and portals for your own clients is exactly what the product is for and is expressly permitted;
- scrape or bulk-extract the service, or use it to build a competing product;
- put deliberately excessive load on the service or on any third party through it.
We can suspend an account that’s doing any of the above, and we’ll normally tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first — unless the problem is urgent enough that waiting would cause harm.
9. SSH Workspace
SSH Workspace opens real terminal sessions against servers you connect, and commands run there do what they say — including deleting files or taking a site offline. It’s a genuine shell, not a simulation.
You are responsible for: having authorisation to access every server you connect; the credentials you supply; and the consequences of every command run from your account, whether you typed it or accepted an AI suggestion. Take your own backups. We can’t undo a command run on your infrastructure.
10. AI features
Parts of AlmaSEO use AI models — drafting content, summarising data, suggesting fixes and commands. Two things follow from that.
Output can be wrong. AI-generated text, recommendations and commands are suggestions, not verified fact. Review anything before you publish it, send it to a client, or run it against a server. You remain responsible for what you do with it.
Prompts go to model providers. What you send to an AI feature is transmitted to the provider running that model, as described in the privacy policy. Don’t paste anything into an AI feature that you couldn’t share with a third-party processor.
11. Third-party services
AlmaSEO connects to services you authorise — Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, WordPress, Stripe and others — and buys data from suppliers such as search-data vendors and AI model providers. The current list is in the privacy policy.
Your use of those services stays subject to their own terms, and we don’t control them. If one changes its API, its pricing or its availability, the AlmaSEO features that depend on it can change or stop working. We’ll do what we reasonably can to keep things working, but we’re not liable for a third party’s decisions.
You can disconnect any integration from within the application.
12. Availability
We work to keep AlmaSEO up and want it to be reliable, but we don’t offer a guaranteed uptime commitment, and we’d rather say so than publish a number we haven’t committed to measuring. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, for problems at a supplier, or for reasons outside our control.
Scheduled work that we expect to cause noticeable downtime will be announced in advance where we reasonably can.
13. Intellectual property
The AlmaSEO application, this website, the name, the logo and everything we’ve built stay ours. Your subscription is permission to use the service, not a transfer of ownership, and nothing here grants you a licence to our brand.
If you send us feedback or a feature suggestion, we can act on it without owing you anything for it. That isn’t a claim over your content — only over ideas you volunteer about the product.
14. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or by emailing [email protected].
We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that goes unpaid, or where we’re legally required to. Except where the law or an urgent risk prevents it, we’ll give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to put it right.
Your data afterwards. When an account closes, you can ask us to export your data and we’ll provide what we hold in a usable format. We’ll keep it for 30 days after closure so an account closed by accident or by a failed payment can be recovered, and then delete it. Backups may hold copies a little longer before they rotate out. Say the word and we’ll delete it sooner.
15. Disclaimers and liability
No promises about rankings. AlmaSEO gives you data, analysis and tools. Search engines and AI assistants decide what they rank and cite, and nobody controls that. Nothing in the product is a guarantee of a ranking, a recovery, an amount of traffic, or a business result.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, AlmaSEO LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost business, however caused.
Where liability can’t be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it. If you’ve paid us nothing — for example during a free trial — that amount is zero.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes. If a change materially reduces your rights or increases your obligations, we’ll email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use AlmaSEO after that date means you accept the new version; if you’d rather not, cancel before it applies.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in South Carolina have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and both of us submit to that jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, please email us. Almost everything is quicker to fix by conversation.
